Sequoia Humane Society is an independent private nonprofit organization and recognized 501(c)(3) charitable organization with the mission of providing shelter and humane care of animals. We are not a government operated agency and do not receive ongoing government operational funding. Our animal care programs and daily operations are supported through donations, grants, fundraising events, and community support.
In addition to our adoption services, we provide low-cost spay/neuter vouchers to qualified low-income residents, and promote responsible pet ownership through our public outreach and education programs.
Our goals are to promote the welfare of all animals, prevent unnecessary suffering, end the overpopulation of cats and dogs, keep animals with homes from becoming homeless, and find homes for all adoptable animals.
The Sequoia Humane Society has been helping companion animals for over 50 years.
