Volunteering is a wonderful way to make new friends, learn valuable skills, and create a positive impact in our community. The work we do would not be possible without the dedication and generosity of our volunteers.
Initial Service Hours are available Tuesday through Saturday between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
After completing your Initial Service Hour, you’ll be able to volunteer any day of the week between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

After completing your Initial Service Hour, you’ll become eligible for our Buddy Up Program.
This program provides hands-on training in safely handling and interacting with our dogs and cats. Volunteers progress through three dog-walking levels—Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced—with each level including additional training. This ensures a safe, rewarding experience for both our volunteers and the animals in our care.
After successfully completing the Buddy Up Program, volunteers become eligible to participate in our Dogventure Program. Dogventures give our shelter dogs the opportunity to get out of the kennel for a few hours to enjoy activities such as walks, hikes, trips to the beach or park, pup cups, and other enriching adventures while they wait for their forever homes. These outings provide valuable exercise, socialization, and mental stimulation for the dogs, while also helping volunteers get to know their personalities outside the shelter environment.
